impact
The Everest Foundation is the only non-profit organization with its core Mission Statement and purpose in the sphere of Graduate Medical Education. EF provides funding for innovative medical research opportunities and opening more residency training opportunities nationwide that serve the needs of communities that health systems serve. The Everest Foundation has pushed its campaigns for supporting teaching hospitals in vulnerable, urban and rural demographics of America. Many medical residency applicants are well trained out of medical school but lack the opportunities to practice their discipline due to the “Residency Bottleneck.” Only 29%* of Medical School Graduates applying for residency have relevant research experience on their CV. That translates to seven out of ten applicants that do not have this important exposure while pursuing their post-graduate training, many due to lack of opportunity to conduct research. This inhibits medical research growth, innovation and well-rounded development for newly minted MD’s.
We want to change that and be Part of the Cure! The Everest Foundation funds and provides research and training opportunities with some of the top Medical Schools and Teaching Hospitals in the country. Addressing the needs of local communities is our core competency and we connect with local partners that share the same value system.
We also fund wellness initiatives for Medical Residents due to burnout, addiction, and mental health challenges.

schools of medicine
Graduate Medical Education (GME) is evolving every day. There are new curriculums and programs being created to prepare future physicians to serve communities all over the world. By partnering up with schools of medicine and expanding a complimentary, shared vision, we help initiatives specific to their needs, along with the growth of residency positions, fellowships, research, and community-based needs of the respective SOM.
The issue is many of these newly trained physicians don't have the opportunities to utilize their skills in medical research, which has the potential to change the world for the better. The Everest Foundation's mission is to change that by funding GME programs and global initiatives for medical residents to be placed in top institutions that impact the world. We want to be Part of the Cure.
poor populations
Poverty and health are connected. Health challenges are continually rising in poverty stricken countries to rates far beyond what we can imagine and what is acceptable. This is due to lack of treatment in these areas and inability to afford basic healthcare. In fact, each year over 2 million children die from an array of different diseases, including pneumonia and diarrhea, which in modern civilized nations are easily treatable. At the Everest Foundation, we want to do our part to change the nature of healthcare for poor populations. We offer opportunities for research, health optimization, and support to these countries through various global initiatives. We aim to be Part of the Cure.
venture philanthropy
The Everest Foundation focuses in part on venture philanthropy. Our impact is in schools of medicine worldwide. We address the needs of vulnerable populations, from Africa to the US, assisting them in cutting-edge research such as Spinal Cord Injury, Organ Transplant, Veteran Affairs, 3D Printing, funding local charity initiatives, and academic hospitals. As the medical community continues to thrive with technology and innovation, we want to be at the forefront of how medicine impacts the world.
ef scholars
Our EF Scholars Program is the cornerstone of our mission. Our Scholars are some of the most progressive and innovative physicians in the medical community. Some of them have conducted research at Ivy League medical schools and have won countless awards.
Many of these Scholars are recruited from our sister organization, Residents Medical, and set the example for high quality research projects.
To be considered for the EF Scholars Program, a rigorous process is utilized in order to choose the best candidates with the best potential to shape the future of medicine. Scholars come from many countries and go on to serve in vulnerable and rural populations, giving back to the community.
